Bali Private Villas – About Our Canggu Location
Leacott Retreats private villa is specifically in the suburb known as Tibubeneng which is on the boarder of Canggu village and Berawa village. Canggu is located about 10-15 minutes from the hip crowd of Seminyak and 15 minutes from Tanah Lot temple, is an old-fashioned fishermen village featuring one of the most untouched beaches on the southwest coast of Bali, back to the traditional Bali and away from the hustle and bustle of international tourism.
Canggu is a traditional village featuring vast uncrowded beaches, numerous local shops and eateries, and rice fields at every turn. Canggu is a great place to stay if you want to experience the more authentic, natural side of Bali while being in close proximity to the restaurants and nightlife that Bali is famous for. The beach in Canggu is secluded with no beach vendors, the waves are great for surfing, and there are rice paddies dotted with private villas, an indigenous hotel called Tugu by the ocean, and a temple called Batu Bolong (meaning a rock with a hole).
Our Leacott Retreats residence is located about 5 minute drive from the hip crowd of Seminyak and 15 minutes to Legian and the hustle and bustle of Kuta. This location is a great place if you want to experience the more authentic, romantic and natural side of Bali, while being in close proximity of chic and international selection of restaurants and nightlife.
Within a 5 minute walk from our private villa there are 2 mini-marts, a local market and numerous small restaurants and cafes to satisfy your hunger. You can try the new Canggu Café, or even head across the road from Canggu Club to the new Canggu Plaza where you will find an all you can eat Argentinian restaurant, the popular La Trattoria and even a new sushi café.
World renowned surf breaks at Berawa and Echo beaches are located a short distance away, and other great and un-crowded waves can be found in close proximity.
